Artist's statement: Memories of my past, my experiences, my family, and art are represented in my artworks. My paintings are rendered in classical technique which is highly influenced by the painting of Andrew Wyeth, his style, imagery, and subject matter. Details such as the vintage owls, cars and highway represent my family cars, my father’s highway occupation of forty years and truck, and me as an artist. My paintings are examples of reflective painting portraiture of life.

Artist's Biography: Carmelo Morra is a graduate of Ontario College of Art and Design. His work has been exhibited in Toronto and in the U.S.A. including Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau Wisconsin.
